FLIPPABLE: Clark Mitchell for PA-HD 48 (SPECIAL ELECTION MAY 15)

I want to take this opportunity to cut through all of the political rhetoric that we are so used to hearing from Harrisburg, and instead introduce myself directly to you. If I haven’t met you already, my name is Clark Mitchell and I’m running in the special election on May 15th to be your next state representative.

I was born and raised right here in Washington County. I grew up fishing and hunting here, played football here, and now serve as an attorney here. I am so proud of our western Pennsylvania values and hard work ethic. But I also see so much of the backwards policies and bickering in Harrisburg harming our way of life.

If elected, I promise you I will not be a rubber stamp for either party, but stand up for what I know to be right: protecting our seniors and their Social Security, defending Pennsylvania workers from becoming a right-to-work state, and fighting for affordable access to health care for all families, veterans, and seniors. I will take the same passion and vision to Harrisburg as Brandon Neuman, and will carry on his legacy of fighting hard to protect our values from career politicians.

As a graduate of the Trinity School District, I know the importance of ensuring all children have access to a quality public education. I will support raising teacher pay and working to expand technical training programs to support local job growth.

As a proud ally to our Union brothers and sisters, I know unfair labor practices like “pay check protection” are hurting hardworking families. I will fight to raise the minimum wage to stabilize our economy and increase purchasing power of families in our local economy.

As I knock doors and talk with neighbors, I’m saddened to see so many families struggling with the opioid crisis. I know that the battle to fight the opioid crisis starts with proper education and strong coordination with our local law enforcement to crack down on distribution. I’ll work for nothing less.

Lastly, I’ll support No Budget, No Pay legislation to ensure Harrisburg politicians do the job they were hired to do. I hope when you see me out knocking doors, you’ll wave and say hi. I’d like to hear from you. And I hope you’ll join me in protecting our way of life in Western Pennsylvania by voting on May 15th.
