Trump's jokes are ALWAYS meant to hurt people

...always putting someone down with his self-congratulating meanness.

He, and anyone associated with him or defending him, deserve every bit of what that comedienne was dishing out at the correspondent's dinner tonight.

to put other people down. If it's not OK for him it's not OK for us. I thought she stunk up the room.

2. they don't deserve jokes

...I always say that folks who can find a place to be sanguine and treat these folks with comity must not have much personally to lose from this administration and their henchmen in Congress.

It's more than okay for us to vent at this WH. There's really little we can say that they don't deserve. They're bent on destroying the country and our planet, but let's be polite when addressing them?

Fuck that.

4. I'm not sure Donald Trump ever actually jokes in the conventional sense...

For example, GWBush told many lead-balloon jokes, but they were (more or less) obviously meant to be funny, through some sort of hyperbole or irony or uncomfortably naked honesty.

Donald Trump insults people, mocks people, demeans people, and those are not jokes. They may illicit a laugh from the audience, but the crowd is laughing at the target, not laughing with a jokester.

14. Trump tells cops "don't be too nice"

"When you see these thugs being thrown into the back of a paddywagon, you just see them thrown in, rough. I said please don't be too nice," Trump told the audience at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, where the county's police force is centered.

"Like when you put somebody into a car and you protect their head? ... I said you can take the hand away, OK?" Trump added.

10. That there is even a debate

Is shocking to me. But I guess it shouldn’t be. We often lack the intestinal fortitude to take the fight to the enemy the way they take it to us. I’m not talking about being crooks and acting unethically. Just basic toughness.

It’s one of the reasons we lose in some cases where we should win.

These people are liars, criminals and traitors with a healthy dose of racism for good measure. They should be in prison, and people are worried about vulgar jokes at their expense.

15. You cannot stop a bully's behaviors by being nice to them
Sun Apr 29, 2018, 04:24 PM
Apr 2018

You need to punch the bully in the face fast and hard. Wolf did that metaphorically last night.

She punched Trump right in the face with the Trump isn't rich routine. She kicked his supporters hard and embarrassed Sanders for her lies. She took the media to task for closing their collective eyes on this horrid behavior that goes on day by day.

Doing anything less to a bully encourages bullying behavior.
