Josh Marshall on the WHCA: a short guide for journalists.

Good general guide to journalism. Be honest. Be fair. Don’t try to be liked.

Josh also said today

They invited a comedian. It was an edgy routine. The idea that journalists can or should try to gain the approbation of people who are **avowedly hostile to the very concept of a free press** by calibrating or softening their own behavior is profoundly ill-considered.

Also Josh, and TPM, appears to be calling for an apology from the host, the White House Correspondent's Association (WHCA).

I’m sure Michelle Wolf will be fine and more than fine. Her career trajectory has zero to do w this political brouhaha and the publicity is a massive shot in the arm. But the WHCA, of which we are members, owes HER a huge apology.
