Criticizing Michelle Wolf for vulgarisms, meanness, or crudity means you took their bait.
Many only saw obscenity when Lenny Bruce performed too.
Wolf is that kind of a comedy genius.
Bruce wasn't for every taste too.
He was a hearkening, a warning shot, a sign of the changes coming.
The parallels here are amazing.

So in other words, we were just arguing aesthetics, arguing about what existed in the vacuum, in the space between their ears.

One of my favorite bits of his was Bruce being the undercover cop being Lenny Bruce, before the grand jury. "Ladies and Gentlemen, Lenny Bruce (In Substance). Situational humor, strikes me as funny. Bruce as the undercover as Bruce. Also, I'm always going off about Catholics and Jews and shit. Everbody who lives in the city is Jewish, whether they know it or not.

I keep hearing a bunch of Michelle's correspondents' jokes, and keep laughing when I hear them. She's a tough cookie, and I look forward to seeing her netflix show. She's not going to turn to heroin over the critique.

5. A mouth like Trump shouldn't be surprised here

Michelle Wolf's speech was a work of art. You just try going to a group of people and roasting them with abrasive jokes and wind it up by exposing their conflicted interests and holier-than-thou professional ethics. This was a difficult concept to write let alone deliver before the highest-powered audience imaginable, even for a well-traveled comedienne.
