Rubio admits GOP tax cut is a bust: 'No evidence that money's been poured back into American worker'

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/04/rubio-admits-gop-tax-cut-bust-no-evidence-moneys-poured-back-american-worker/

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) voted in favor of the Republican Party’s massive tax cut late last year — but now he says that there’s little evidence that handing out big breaks to corporations has significantly trickled down to American workers.

Talking with The Economist, Rubio criticizes his party for believing that large corporate tax cuts will inevitably produce windfalls for workers in the United States — and he says that so far, we haven’t seen very many corporations using their additional money to invest in their employees.

“There is still a lot of thinking on the right that if big corporations are happy, they’re going to take the money they’re saving and reinvest it in American workers,” Rubio tells the publication. “In fact they bought back shares, a few gave out bonuses; there’s no evidence whatsoever that the money’s been massively poured back into the American worker.”

Rubio also hinted that neither the GOP’s tax cut plan nor Trump’s protectionism will do much to help workers who are seeing more and more jobs disappear thanks to automation and technology.

But next time more tax cuts for the overrich comes up, Rubio will once again vote for it. Because this time it'll be different, right Marco? Your very quiet criticism long after the fact doesn't absolve you from responsibility, you know.

is that Rubio isn't a 1%. He does not have nearly the wealth that the rest of Congress has and certainly couldn't dream of being as wealthy as the people this tax cut serves.

You would think that might make a difference when he voted for that abomination.

He has swallowed the RW medicine without sweetener. He actually believes that stuff but is, unlike most of his cohorts, not immune to facts. And the facts are as he presented that. There is no windfall for american workers and there isn't going to be one.

But, the true believers really think this works, still think the Reagan debacle improved the economy (ignore all that borrowed money to spend on rockets and bombs and planes and boats the navy didn't want or need, therefore being built in america and acting as a macroeconomic stimulus, which they hated when BHO did it, ....)

Clear evidence that this is smoke and mirrors but the minions are still touting it as gospel.

who's pac received $3,000,000.00 dollars from the NRA. From a senator that couldn't explain how he paid his credit cards while doing improvements to his home.

I collect his replies to my inquires. They suck.

He has never broke a blister on his hand, never sweated in the sun. He's never worried about whether to pay the rent or the electric. the insurance or the food bill.

Now, he wakes up. Nah, he's still a rightwing lackey wishing he was paul ryan.
