Megyn Kelly slams Hillary Clinton because Tom Brokaws sexual misconduct accuser is being taken seriously
NBC host Megyn Kelly on Monday suggested that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was partially at fault after NBC contributor Tom Brokaw was accused of sexual misconduct.
On her Monday Today Show program, Kelly noted that Brokaw had vehemently denied allegations that he groped and tried to forcibly kiss Linda Vester, a former NBC employee.
Its good to remind people that in this #MeToo movement, you have this umbrella of allegations that fall within it, NBC correspondent Stephanie Gosk told Kelly. And they go everywhere from first degree rape all the way to the allegations. And its a reminder for everyone, as you sit here and try to go through all of this and come up with your own opinion on it, each case is different and should be considered on a case by case basis.
Kelly suggested that Clinton was partially to blame because she said that all women accusers should be believed except those who accused her husband of sexual misconduct.

Hillary knew as well as anyone that her husband slept around as WELL as she knew there was a vast, rightwing conspiracy dedicated to destroying her, which we now know for a FACT exists.

(10,272 posts)lol ill take that. maybe if we blame her for ENOUGH things, she can start to get credit for the things shes doen that she actually deserves...like when some idjit president cant manage to sit still for an interview, we can reference how Hillary sat for 11 HOURS in front of Congress and didnt miss a beat, that person can say I blame Hillary for setting the bar so high, its just not fair for me to have to live up to that standard...
I Blame Hillary.

(54,027 posts)Its good to remind people that in this #MeToo movement, you have this umbrella of allegations that fall within it.
The "umbrella" of what allegations?
What's falling within this umbrella? That's not how umbrella's work!
And they go everywhere from first degree rape all the way to the allegations.
Does she mean the Brokaw allegations? Is actually implying that rape is somehow lesser than Brokaw's alleged attempted filandering? Are you high, woman?
And its a reminder for everyone, as you sit here and try to go through all of this and come up with your own opinion on it, each case is different and should be considered on a case by case basis.
So in discussing this problem of male sexual harassment, we're to conclude that it's all "case-by-case"? Meaning don't look at it as pattern of social problems? Isn't that like the exact opposite of seeing the trend?

Damn, vocabulary sure seems a lot more important than brains when it comes to becoming a TV expert on Megyn's show.
I thought Brokaw's statement was somewhat telling along the lines of protesting too much in an ineffective way.

(297,323 posts)But, my impression of Brokaw is that he carried water for the gop for years. Which means "lying" on his part. He used to righteously get raked over the coals on this board for that.
So that's the lens I was thinking through when I heard this news.

(34,460 posts)and her ratings are much lower. Its also hurting shows that follow hers. NBC told some of the complaining local affiliates to give her show a chance to build an audience.
My prediction: we wont have to wait much longer.

(10,833 posts)fits right into the right-wing orthodoxy. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are to blame for . . . everything!
Megyn Kelly must be hoping to boost her ratings which have been slipping like the Titanic. Say something totally stupid for the buzz and hope for a massive reaction. Instead, Megan should be ignored for her vastly over-rated persona and inability to capture an audience. There were reporters far her superior who were let go so NBC could afford her bloated, unnecessary salary.
Time for NBC to cut their losses.
Vote as if your lives depended on it. Because they do.

(35,454 posts)Only it's not stupid...she knows anything relating to HRC will get attention so she tries to sock our former SOS in the eye so she can get attention. She always goes low when things don't go her way.
