Bernie Sanders "would have won" and Bernie bros are a myth, says campaign manager in new book

https://news.vice.com/en_us/article/wj73vz/bernie-sanders-would-have-won-and-bernie-bros-are-a-myth-says-campaign-manager-in-new-book

The 2016 presidential election never ends. Hillary Clinton wrote a book about it. So did James Comey. Reporters and political scientists have written a shelf full of them, and there's more coming. Historians will have their turn soon enough.

Now add to the list Jeff Weaver, Bernie Sanders’ campaign manager, whose 2016 tell-all was obtained early by VICE News before its release next month.

While those legacy-focused books aim at reputation management while sharing campaign gossip and airing grievances — this book has those, too — this one is written with the future in mind. Namely, a possible 2020 presidential campaign.

“Run, Bernie, Run!” are the final words of Weaver’s book, "How Bernie Won: Inside the Revolution That’s Taking Back Our Country—and Where We Go From Here," a title that suggests Bernieworld doesn’t think the revolution is over.

Imagine that.

There has been plenty of discussion surrounding Hillary's book, Comey's book, Chozick's book.

Why is Weaver's book off limits?

Not from you Sid but from Weaver. But then Jeff Weaver being such a 'nice, clear-eyed guy' is an expert on the art of distraction. Bernie would have won, even though he failed to win the primary in both delegate count or popular vote.

But please, Jeff, keep telling that fairytale. Because we all love a good fiction yarn.

Oy!

Vote like your lives depended on it. Because they do.

This continuous fairytale is meant to divide us, once again. Weaver is churning the same old stuff. So, one should ask: Who benefits?

Certainly not Democrats. Or the country for that matter.

Jeff Weaver's opinions about almost anything are worthless. Well, maybe he knows where to get the best pizza.

Also: Yawn about anything involving Bernie Sanders. He's boring and irrelevant.

that Bernie Sanders is irrelevant. I don't like him much, but he seems relevant to the current political debates happening in this country.

There will probably be 20 candidates for president in 2020. And I am pretty certain that Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden are both running.

Whining exponentially. That one should be framed, Cha.

Speaking of Hillary Clinton, she gave a great presentation at the PEN World Voices Festival. Book TV carried it this weekend. The speech was followed by an interview lead by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichi who said she thinks of Hillary Clinton as Auntie Hillary. That comment really made me smile because it was so genuine. Adichi's mother is only 5 years older than Clinton, so she thinks of Hillary in those terms. It was a good listen/talk.

Mahalo for telling me about what Hillary was up to this weekend.. sounds like a brilliant gathering..

Hillary Clinton is now my aunty for life- Chimamanda Adichie

snip//

I had a truly enlightening evening on that stage with Ms. Clinton, and was once again awed by her grit, her humanity, her sparkling intelligence. After the conversation, Ms. Clinton told me, “It was like talking to a friend.” She is now my Aunty For Life. Oh, as for YOU, Unnamed Person, saying that I am ‘family’ to you, mbakwa biko. The people I consider family don’t ‘do petty.’
