We are headed to Indiana tomorrow.

My husband and I own some property there and are going to see his family. We get news from South Bend and Fort Wayne TV stations. The CBS affiliate in South Bend usually has a good weather forecast. However, it is a Sinclair owned station and it will not be viewed for local info. A little part of me is curious to see how blatant it is, but I do not want to be seen in any way as tolerating it.

There are summer cottages that have been in my husband's family since the 20s. Most houses are year round now, but not ours.

TNNurse,

I haven't watched the local stations up there for a long while. Usually, my Dad (lives on one of the other lakes) watches the NBC station which I believe is channel 16. Don't know if that one is Sinclair owned.

It's still a very red area. I do have hope that it will change. Over the last twenty years, a significant Hispanic population has grown there. My one left-leaning cousin said they actually had a DACA march at the courthouse which SHOCKED me. However, like said, it is a RED town in a red county.

If you want news though, I would suggest listening to the NPR station out of South Bend. Dad pretty much listens to that all day.

South Bend is a bit more progressive. Bloomington is the most progressive area of the state. Unfortunately, we are about 4 hours south of Warsaw.

The South Bend CBS is the only one that Sinclair owns in the area. There are none where I live in East TN.

is considered an up-and-coming Dem. star, I believe.

Many years ago, I vacationed at Crystal Lake; we were there when Elvis died - a good way to remember the timing. We also went to a nearby town to a car museum.
I've also gone to the Ft. Wayne Library for genealogical purposes. - That Library is well known for their genealogical collection.

Sen. Donelly is from SB and is expected to have a tough re-election this year.
Yes, the mayor of SB, Pete Buttigieg, has been generating some buzz.
Ft. Wayne Library is known for it genealogical collection.

There's the Automotive Museum in Kokomo but I"m wondering if you are thinking of the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Museum (Auburn, IN) or Studebaker National Museum (South Bend, In).
