Before Iran signed the nuclear arms treaty with Obama, everybody, including Netanyahu said they were only months away from testing an atomic bomb.

Obama got them to sign an agreement that stopped that for ten years.

If Trump tears the agreement up next month, Iran will test an atomic bomb a few months later.

Netanyahu is giving Trump political cover to say "They got an atomic bomb that soon, not because they were about to get one anyway, and Obama prevented it, BUT BECAUSE THEY'D BEEN CHEATING ALL ALONG. (And Obama gave them the room to do it.)"

Don't fall for it. The Obama Administration, combined with America's allies made a good deal that prevented Iran from developing atomic weapons. If they end up getting one in a few months (because they learned a valuable lesson from Kim Jong-Un) it's because Trump cancelled it.

(The Israeli corruption police can't put Netanyahu in jail fast enough, as far as I'm concerned.)

10. I don't believe Iran is close to testing a bomb. With that said...

1. I think Bibi sees his window of a war with Iran disappearing.

2. He needs to deflect from the scandals he's facing.

3. He's facing the prospect of Assad staying in power with Iranian and Russian bases at his doorstep. So instead of making Israel more secure, he's made it more dangerous.

As for Iran, if I were a betting man, the cost over-runs, schedule set backs, sanctions, etc. were taking their toll. And probably found it better off to halt work, lick their wounds and plan better should the deal expire with no extension or the House of Saud started really becoming a pain in the ass.

Right now, they are keeping Syria out of Sunni control and Yemen is likely to split again. That's a win for them.
