is that this will end fairly quickly with someone getting DT to resign, and then Pence pardoning him.
I expect our country to go through a huge, wrenching upheaval, possibly lasting months. Depending on the moment, there will be protesters in the streets -- either for or against DT, or both.
At the end it will all be worthwhile. But it might be unnerving to live through. We should be bracing ourselves.

(7,968 posts)This guy is a complete and total headstrong idiot. And he doesn't seem to be embarrassed. His base eats it up and thinks it all is a liberal fantasy.
Congress will do nothing until we unseat them and even then we won't have the votes to convict and remove from office so we are in this for the long haul.

Given how Trump appears to thrive on the need for enemies and the conflict associated with them he'll try to fight to a bitter end. This doesn't seem to allow for an easy slide to get him out of office.
