(56,828 posts)I think it definitely could have affected turnout since Trump was still kind of an unknown quantity to them (Remember, rumors were flying that Pence was going to step aside when the Access Hollywood tape came out...)
with PA, WI and MI all having razor thin margins, all 3 could have swung to Clinton. And, who knows about NC and FL?
Just 1 evangelical voter in 20 not voting for Trump by either staying home or voting 3rd party.

Doubt thats the case here though. Im firmly in the broidy-is-covering camp.
