EPA's Pruitt is an isolated, ignorant law breaker -- his EPA predecessor
U.S. Environmental Protection Administrator Scott Pruitt refuses to talk with professionals in his agency, hobnobs with a tiny coterie of cronies, and operates in a Washington, D.C. that is "a bit nuts," his EPA predecessor Gina McCarthy said in Seattle Wednesday.
The scandal-scarred Pruitt "doesn't know the law" and "doesn't obey the law," ex-EPA Administrator McCarthy told a Climate Solutions breakfast.
The breakfast was a kind of government in exile, demonstrative of how the West Coast is acting on climate and energy with policies that directly contravene those of the Trump administration.
McCarthy looked out on an audience that included four former Cabinet secretaries from three administrations, including William Ruckelshaus, who served as EPA boss under Presidents Nixon and Reagan.
