One of these is named Lois Lane.

(86,702 posts)She has been a local in my area for years... Livingston, MT. Lots of movie folks here, and rich people, most of whom don't pay taxes so the county is poor.
Anyway, I also know the coroner. Sad for her and her family and friends. I always heard she was a nice person from those who know her.

(23,333 posts)doesn't it? Lots of wealthy folks from stage and screen can buy a lot of Big Sky beauty for relatively little and don't pay taxes or vote here. That aside, I'm sorry to hear that Margot Kidder has passed - and so young too. RIP.

(23,333 posts)but rural properties are not assessed at the same level and urban property. Its a whacked system here. I pay double the property tax with small 3 bed two bath home as my sister does with a 5 bed 3 bath home across town. Makes no sense. We dont have sales tax in Montana.

(11,564 posts)She went missing and was found under and overpass, terrified because her husband was the head of the CIA and hunting her. She fought back hard, though, and became quite celebrated for giving another face, proactive and public, to mental illness.
