Not to mention, she actually lives in District 14, which neither of the Republicans can say.

Pretty dismal turnout; hope it picks up in the next 36 hours. Otherwise, your ballot and mine count six times.

Knute Buehler looks like the favorite to snag the Republican nomination for governor. Ready-made slogan: "Oregon has had enough of Republicans named Knute."

I too dropped my ballot off at one of many ballot boxes a few days ago. Today I went on the Oregon Secretary of State's website to verify its receipt, and sure enough, it was posted received on May 11. Also of interest, citizens are allowed to observe the vote count in their local county clerk's office. So far I haven't asked to do that, but I must say I love that this option is available.

Conor Lamb is now unopposed for PA-17 D nomination.

I'll be keeping my eye on PA-4 to see if Joe Hoeffel can win his old seat.

Barletta and Christiana could be closer than people think. Western PA voters tend to turn out in higher numbers than in the east and Christiana is local who has been in state legislature for 10 years or so and is pretty well known.

all the original Dems vying to oppose Rothfus ended up withdrawing and endorsing Lamb. Two of the candidates are still on the ballot owing to dropping out too late to have their names deleted from the ballot, but votes for them won't count.

For national Democrats, the stakes are by far the highest in Pennsylvania — where some of Democrats’ best House pickup opportunities in the country will be on the ballot this fall, along with a governorship and US Senate seat they’ll have to defend.

Idaho and Oregon, then, have competitive Republican primaries for governor, while Nebraska has one key US House seat Democrats are targeting, and one of the few Republican-held US Senate seats that will be on the ballot this fall.

25. 3 special elections in PA today
Tue May 15, 2018, 09:58 AM
May 2018

HD-68 encompassing Bradford, Potter and Tioga Counties (northern NW Pa) Heath (D) vs Owlett (R)

HD-178 Bucks County (SE Pa Phila suburban ring) Tai (D) vs Thomas (R)

HD-48 Washington County (SW Pa) Mitchell (D) vs O'Neal (R) vs Agoris (L)

HD-68 is in a pretty red area, but it should test the strength of Dem women candidates vs Republican men in GOP friendly districts.
HD-178 should favor the Dems and has two women facing off.
HD-48 could be a swing seat. The Libertarian in the race could siphon GOP voters off O'Neal.
