Deleting the data on the disk doesn't usually get the backup.
Transactions between banks have backups at both banks.
And there is cross referenced data files so deleting in one place does not get rid of everything.

If you know the parties involved, the monthly statement ins and outs have to balance - usually in more than one place.

This could be extremely bad news for Trump - it will raise many, many flags and none of them good.

46. They are missing for one of three reasons

1) Trump had them removed. I think this is highly unlikely because if he had, that narcissist would have ensured the one on him related to the Stormy Daniels payment would have also been deleted. That was not done.

2) The GOP had them removed. Cohen had a lot of other LLC's and is still a GOP fund raising official. Do we really think he only did dirty deals for Trump and Hannity? The Republican party and some captains of industry who benefited in their quid pro quo bribery scheme certainly had the motivation to make this Hail Mary move.

3) Mueller's team had them removed. Since there are many law enforcement officials who would pull this data for Trump and the GOP, the likelihood of them knowing what Mueller has on them would help them better mount a defense. But with the records missing, the bad guys in power have no clue what the Justice Dept has on them. They are running blind and don't know when or if the long arm of the law is onto them.

I am sure reason #1 is out. I fear that reason #2 may have happened. I think reason #3 is what has happened. Judging by the responses of key Republican leaders over the next 72 hours - we will have our answer.
