Not because of the dancing but the noise..................almost every time I get in any place where there are alot of people plus noise I experience violent migraines followed by projectile vomiting.
Thats why I could not even attend pep rallies at school and its why I have only been to 3 movies at a theater in my entire life.
Edit: And yes that means you will never find me at one of those major Walmart sales..................ever.

25. I can empathize! I used to get allergy attacks

Every time I would be in a crowd or even a large group someone always had on a fragrance or used a scented product that triggered violent sneezing attacks for me. My husband thought I was agoraphobic since I avoided crowds. Then Zyrtec was released and my world changed. Fragrances still annoy me - aside from forty years of conditioning because of sneezing, they still trigger headaches which make me bitchy. So I still don't like crowds.

I also used to get migraines. We eventually figured out mine were triggered by hormones. When I finally had a hysterectomy and my ovaries removed the migraines stopped - it was amazing to not have one that lasted days twice a month!

I hope someday you can be free of your migraines. Most people just think they are headaches and don't realize how debilitating they are.

How could one spend more than 10 minutes in Oakland and not know it's demographic makeup?

My 2nd thought was that Oakland used to be where all the people who couldn't afford to live in San Francisco lived (hint: people of color, mostly). Now Oakland is becoming more gentrified as well...so, I guess now white people, new to Oakland, are calling the cops on longtime residents who are minding their own business, people who probably lived there for generations before she did. Nice.
