by Campaigning for Trump.
If the splashy, counterintuitive story, which circulated on such conservative websites as Truthfeed and Infowars, wasn't exactly fake news, it was carefully orchestrated.
The storys writeran employee of the conservative website run by Steve Bannon before he took over Donald Trumps campaignspent weeks courting activist Bruce Carter to join Trumps cause. He approached Carter under the guise of interviewing him. The writer eventually dropped the pretense altogether, signing Carter up for a 10-week blitz aimed at convincing black voters in key states to support the Republican real estate mogul, or simply sit out the election. Trumps narrow path to victory tightened further if Hillary Clinton could attract a Barack Obama-level turnout

(32,640 posts)The group Carter founded, Trump for Urban Communities, never disclosed its spending to the Federal Election Commissiona possible violation of election law. In hindsight, Carter says, he believed he was working for the campaign so he wouldnt have been responsible for reporting the spending.
His descriptions of the operation suggest possible coordination between Trumps campaign and his nominally independent efforts. If there was coordination, election law dictates that any contributions to groups such as his must fall within individual limits: no more than $2,700 for a candidate. One supporter far exceeded that cap, giving about $100,000 to Carters efforts.
Another potential issue is whether the unusual role played by the Breitbart reporter amounted to an in-kind contribution.
There are some real problems here, says Lawrence Noble, who served as general counsel at the FEC during Republican and Democratic administrations and is now senior director and general counsel at the Campaign Legal Center, a nonpartisan advocacy organization. I would think this is more than enough evidence for the FEC to open an investigation.

(6,288 posts)findings as to who benefitted from election meddling.
Oddly, they were also the only 2 candidates that claimed their campaign was rigged.
Clinton's campaign is the only one now known to have proof of actually being rigged on a massive & intentional purpose, by foreign adversaries, Money & Media.
From the early days of RT to to our own MSM, social media to the Kremlin bot centers & the millions of fake 'likes' on FB & online polls, all there with one end goal.
To create a false impression & fake candidates like Trump, & to see that the Democratic leader they considered their only threat to the road to fascism, Hillary Clinton, was silenced & who's stellar image around the globe, was recreated into the opposite of who she actually was.
It was a massive Media smear campaign, purchased & promoted by the Kremlin.
There's a reason why Mueller named only those two.
Sanders & Trump.
We all witnessed the game being played on America.
Thankfully, Mueller does also.

(6,288 posts)There is proof of the meddling from Bannon to all media forms. From the Kremlin via RT & MSM to social media swarmed with false 'likes' to purchased players who grabbed the mic & drove the message hard enough to seat a US govt that was more aligned with dictators of the world.
Congress & Senate was purchased & bribed, and candidates were presented as valid who in reality came with scant to none of the policy nor experience to govern our nation in this globally unsettling environment.
As for Sanders, Mueller has his reasons for specifically naming him aling with Trump in his formal findings.
We'll wait to find out the reasons he did so.
Mueller makes no formal findings for political reasons & certainly names no one without reason.
Mueller will tell us the reality of how the Kremlin came to dominate our 2016 election.
Thanks tonyt53
