What kind of sick mind thinks like that?

(25,251 posts)What we need to do is get to the American People that believe the lies they were told of the benefits to them. Any money that was said to be left in the hands of the American People - if there really was any there to begin with - has been snatched from them because of Trump's actions/talk of tariffs and withdrawing from the Iran Treaty. Prices everywhere are going up on everything - witness gas prices, food, staples, etc.
We need to convince those that still support Trump and the Repugs that they've been conned big time. Unfortunately - most of them are being brainwashed by Fox News and are delusional in their admiration for Trump and the lies.
I'll end this post like Trump ends many of his tweets: Sad!!!!

(31,828 posts)Spending our time on 'sit it out voters'. It was very effective in 2017 in NJ - and will be even more effective in 2018.
Where I live in NJ - they can't be won over.
Where we DID win last year? The former:
The two parties are the same
I don't like having a closed primary so I wont' vote at all
They don't care about me
This has nothing to do with me
I'm too busy
The Trump voters and FANS are extremely engaged and regardless of anything we SHOW them will never budge - not an inch. Even look at some of the recent articles about Youngstown Ohio and how they are 'sticking with him'.
It's a waste of time, those people are a waste of time. Get those who thought it didn't matter to storm the polls.
Even if in your state you only increase registered Democratics by 70K - it might be JUST enough to tip a council person, mayor, school board, House of Rep, Senate election in our favor.

(31,828 posts)20 freaking votes. Those of us in blue states cannot take anything for granted, purple must persevere, and Red - they've got nothing to lose by trying.
In my County - here's where we are at:
http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf/2017/05/republican_vs_democratic_which_political_party_dom.html
Republicans: 37,240
Democrats: 21,336
Unaffiliated: 36,252
There are nearly 16,000 more registered Republicans in Hunterdon than Democratic voters. Trump won by nearly 14 points
We have 36,252 Voters to win over - PLUS new registrations. There's nothing for me in those Republicans - nothing.
