"The time for talk is done. Donald Trump is a bully ..."

Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau Takes the Gloves Off

After more than a year of trying to make nice, Justin Trudeau finally looks fed up with Donald Trump. Canada had pushed for an exemption from Trump’s tariffs -- thinking, now naively, there’d be a perk to being a neighbor, ally and largest buyer of U.S. goods.
That all changed Thursday when Canada, along with Mexico and the European Union, lost exemptions to the U.S. metal tariffs.

Trudeau fired back with tariffs on U.S. exports of everything from whiskey to motor boats to orange juice. He said the legal basis of tariffs -- U.S. national security -- was an affront to Canadian soldiers who died fighting alongside Americans in numerous global battles.

Canada is a close U.S. military ally and the top U.S. export market, more than the U.K., Japan and Germany combined. It sells the U.S. more steel and aluminum than anyone else, in part because of deeply integrated auto and defense sectors. Trudeau cracked down on Chinese steel imports for Trump, and U.S. data show that it has a trade surplus with Canada. None of it mattered.

Patience has worn thin. “We’ve all had just about enough of Donald Trump,” Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, a Trudeau ally, told reporters.
“The reality is that our federal government has moved heaven and earth. They’ve cajoled Trump, they have soothed his ego, they’ve played to his apparently inexhaustible vanity,” she said.
“The time for talk is done. Donald Trump is a bully and the only way to deal with a bully is to stand up and push back and we have to do that.”

all other free countries should follow the Canadians example and isolate Trump from the normal, planet-conscious, and globally economic conscious countries and people of the world.

Trump cries "America First" to his cult followers, but both Trump and his cultists don't have a clue about what that means on the global stage. Being isolated from other industrial countries will bring the U.S. to it's knees in a hurry. Any companies making products in the U.S. (and there are fewer every day) are going to feel the pinch of sales decreases almost immediately. Looking to keep profits from falling dramatically - and pissing Wall Street off - these companies will cut jobs, what little benefits they currently offer, and wages. Recession - bordering on Depression - won't be far off. The Trump "economic miracle" will falter and eventually die completely, taking the rest of the U.S. with it.

Trump - Mr. "Tough Guy" is going to ruin our country economically, and politically. It will take years, perhaps decades, to undo the damage he's done to the U.S. Once again, it will be up to Democrats to clean up the mess of a Republican president's policies.

Trump is doing the exact opposite of what should be done in this global economy. But FOX Noise and the rest of the right-wing propaganda machine will convince the cultists (and the GOP controlled Congress) that Trump is a genius, and they'll back him all the way to the soup kitchens.

There's nothing more dangerous, economically and politically, than a narcissistic governmental neophyte who is convinced his ideas are sound, and whose ego won't allow dissenting points of view to be heard. All people with dissenting viewpoints have been removed from their particular area of "expertise" because they weren't loyal enough to Hair Trump. Trump is a one-man wrecking crew, and without anyone near him to snap his chain back, he'll continue to destroy anything in his path. Welcome to Trump Amerikkka.

bully and catering to his ego is going to get them nowhere. He will just see it as a sign of weakness and walk all over them. I really hope our allies start to stand up to him and show him that he can't just order everyone around like they are his personal employees. He's is getting out of control.

... the only thing he can be relied upon to do is agree with (quite literally) THE LAST PERSON HE TALKS TO (of any consequence).

So fed up, yes ... absolutely.

There’s ZERO point in negotiating with him, nor any of his administration, about anything.

The Mafia (and its related “groups”) would likely be far easier, and more honest to deal with than him. I’m not joking. Seriously, I’m not.
