This is my new car decal. Wish me luck that I don't get keyed. I'm tired of being afraid

of the trumphumpers. They're probably too stupid to get it anyway.

I got this one, too, but still don't have the guts to put this on my jeep yet--I'm getting there, though!

My dad never talked about it, either, except to say that it was hot as hell, humid, and buggy. He also didn't like the typhoons he was caught in while aboard ship--or on whichever island. I didn't hear what he did or where he was until the last months of his life. He was in a nursing home and his buddies---all of them WWII vets--would come every day and chew the fat. My boss was wonderful and let me take FMLA time for months. I'd work Monday & Tuesday, then drive 200 miles each way for the rest of the week. I did that from January until June. I'd sit there with them for hours and listen to their stories. I could just kick myself to the moon and back for not recording them. One day, as we were leaving, my dad's best friend sidled up to me and whispered, "You know, your dad is a real hero." I thanked him but thought, heck, I already knew that. He'd been my hero all of my life. Damn, I miss him. Our dads were a rare and wonderful breed.

at least the mid-60's. He always kept a bottle of quinine water in the cupboard "just in case." It never left him. I found a bottle of it in the cupboard after dad died and we were moving my mom to be closer to us.

gave the troops. He never kicked the habit. I do remember he always wanted quinine (tonic) water around, but that was probably because he'd seen so much of it. He was only 19 when he joined the Marines with his best friend who got sent to the Aleutians. They were best friends until death. I still correspond w/ the best friend's 5 daughters.

Sometimes use "1202021" (as seen below) that reads the same in each direction and stands for January 20, 2021...the day of the dumpster's departure (if not before).

He was bigger, taller, 15-20 years younger, and in much better shape (though sadly, I out weighed him), but I guarantee you he will think twice about shoving around another “snowflake”.

I also have my military ribbons on my door, and the Medal form of one on my sleeper hatch, but he ignored those to his regret.

I no longer have any fucks to give to Shitler’s minions.

On Edit: Oh yeah, never infer to an Apache, he or she is a wetback. Shit gets really real afterwards.

When used as a verb, eighty-six, eighty-sixed, 86, 86ed, or 86'd is American English slang for getting rid of something, ejecting someone, or refusing service.

Just tired of this “activism” bragged about here all the time. Turning magazines back to front, reprogramming people’s TVs to take off fox, having enigmatic bumper stickers, writing raging posts about what we did or did not see in a grocery line (and never do anything). Sorry, I find it pathetic.

other people's TV sets, but then as a vet I was sick and tired of EVERY set in waiting areas set to Fox at the VA. Now none are, most are set to "classic" shows or history channel or automotive channels. If that was the work of the phantom clicker reprogramer, I'm not mad about it. And if you're speaking of Mr Scorpio's posts, well, I support those 100%

But I'm glad your tomatoes are good. I'm jealous. We have about 3" of soil over granite and I am a gardener but we own in a condo association and raised gardens aren't allowed.

I get amused by these bumper sticker threads, but where I am in Texas those could literally get your hoopty "compromised" and/or yourself damaged. At my age discretion is not only the better part of valor, its a survival stategy, though I did hoot at the KKK from my studio window when the eight member strong "army" sauntered through town last year.

Staying out of the Bernie vs Hillary threads has helped me to keep my anger and disappointment under control.

But anyways, I hope your day stays good, eat a big ol' mater samich for me!
