Insider trading with the unemployment numbers?

...is this even legal for him to view/share the numbers before they're released to the public? I always thought they were secret until the time of release because the markets are susceptible to manipulation by investors looking to profit off of them.

sent a tweet to the SEC. He broke the law. Insider trading. I’m sure he called friends and family last night to let them know.
