This meme should not be shared or retweeted unless fixed

I've seen this meme floating around Facebook and Twitter, but it is NOT accurate. While neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton were indicted for anything directly related to Whitewater, there were several people that were indicted, including then Arkansas governor Jim Guy Tucker. (And, you could argue that Clinton was technically indicted by the House when was was impeached, just not convicted by the Senate when the Lewinsky scandal arose out of Whitewater)

There were definitely indictments and guilty pleas from Whitewater.

On edit - Whoops... I see that you got that.

and, when I point out that Whitewater did result in several people being indicted, it makes me seem like a Trumpster or Freeper or whatever we call them these days.

If somebody could cut Whitewater out and make Benghazi and Emails larger, then it would be fine.

Tucker was not convicted on a charge directly related to the investigation of the Clintons real estate and related business but was swept up by Starr and prosecuted for one count of conspiracy and one count of mail fraud.

Republicans didn't seem to have an issue with the scope of Starrs investigation at that time even though it swept up people not charged with items directly related to the investigation itself.

I think the graphic would be stronger and make a better point if accurate. A number of people were swept up in the Whitewater investigation. Most were brought up on charges that were not connected to Whitewater.

Aren't most of the charges to date related to financial shenanigans unrelated to the campaign? The charges are mostly leverage for the prosecutor to use in getting people to sing about what he's really after.

Crimes will be uncovered during large investigations that will be secondary. They will either be held within the investigation or the information will be sent to another office to be looked into; depending on the value of the target.

or retweet it or share it on facebook or whatever.

I've noticed a rise in Democrats/liberals sharing incorrect/flawed memes the past few years. Not nearly the constant bombardment of BS from the right, but it's been a noticeable uptick to me.

Not to mention linking to clickbait/content farm sites like Blasting News.

Or fake Facebook pages (a fake Sarah Sanders page was shared here recently).

There have been five guilty pleas, but there have been no trials, so no "convictions" per se.
