He is also sending a very important signal to campaign finance donors

If you break the law, plead guilty, get away with a soft sentence and some community service (or whatever sentence) I'll pardon you.
This vile cretin makes more than a few corrupt scumbags look decent.

GOP billionaires have been working to undermine the campaign finance system since the 1970s.

The Federalist Society, with funding from billionaires, has been selecting and pushing judges that will be pro-billionaire finance. That’s led to a rollback of campaign finance laws (McCutcheon, CitU). (Zephyr Teachout has written a book about this).

CitU itself is a “nonprofit”, funded by GOP billionaires, that has succeeding in suing to create a second campaign finance system that allows billionaires to spend as much as they want.

Those Fed Soc judges have already effectively legalized political bribery.

So eh on the campaign finance pardons. The obstruction of justice pardon threats are much more serious. Because obstruction of justice is still a crime.

Fed Soc judges are specially selected to be pro billionaire and anti-average American. We should resist the appointment of ANY Fed Society judge.
