Question re: the missing lady

It is difficult to believe she is holed up in the WH ,never being seen
It is also difficult to believe she could be in NY without the presence of the Secret Service being seen.

Is it possible Trump could have taken away her SS protection so she could travel unnoticed?

Couldn't she be with them? And has Barron been seen recently? Can't imagine DT would allow anything to happen to him.

I can't believe that Melania could pull that off, especially since past plastic surgeries have made her look a like a space alien.

4. My thoughts on this:

One can argue that Melania never asked for any of this attention and that she deserves her privacy. On the other hand, she is now, whether she likes it or not, a public figure and The First Lady of The United States (a dumb title - but whatever) and privacy got a little hazy when her husband took office.

This is what is really happening; The White House is lying. For whatever reason, somewhere along the food chain a decision was made to make up a story and let it sit out there without a plausible explanation. Someone doesn't spend 5 days in the hospital and then disappear for three weeks after what is essentially an outpatient procedure.

One day some reporter is going to find out the truth and as is usually the case, the cover up will be worse than the truth.

The Trump family are a bunch of weirdos. They lie so much it seems to be their first course of action.

8. I wouldn't bet on the press exposing this...

Reagan’s Alzheimer's was so far advanced that on some days he didn’t recognize close friends. However, various media types that discovered this kept it quiet for one reason or another.

Presidents Roosevelt and Wilson were incapacitated in the last parts of their terms. Their wives ran day to day affairs, but still nothing in the press (though this would be easier in those days, I suppose).

To wrap this up, this morning I saw the story that reporter that SY Hersh knee Pat Nixon was being abused but did not report it:

10. Those were all different times.

Our culture has changed drastically since those days. Even the events involving Pat Nixon. In terms of domestic abuse and the treatment of women, 1974 could have been a thousand years ago.

The press once covered up for presidents. They covered up illnesses because of some sense of respect for the presidency. They covered up President Kennedy's Addison's disease. They covered up Kennedy's womanizing. But they didn't do that for President Clinton. They certainly aren't doing that for Trump. And after O.J. Simpson murdered his wife, all bets on covering up spousal abuse were off.

I think we are going to find out where Melania has been on this extended lost weekend. I do hope she is ok. I will never respect her after her birther enabling, but I wish her no harm.

6. Interesting thought, but..,

Two things wrong with it...

1) It involves Trump thinking about someone other than himself.
2) This would have pissed off the Secret Service, and the way this White House leaks I can’t imagine that being kept quiet.

Then again, point #2 is the problem with -any- theory I’ve seen. If someone double dips a potato chip, we have three different sources telling the press about it. But for the First Lady’s absence... crickets.
