Democrats I talk to have become numb to the news from DC. Every day

for the last 1 1/2 years it's the same BS, will Trump fire Mueller, will Trump fire Sessions?
Every day there is a new outragous Tweet from Trump and nothing has changed, it just gets worse.
It seems Trump can break any law or violate the constitutuion with no consequenses. If Mueller doesn't come
out soon and charge Trump with something before the election I think we are doomed as far as taking back
Congress and if the economy keeps humming along we will have 4 more years of Trump. Who knows maybe he will do away with elections in 2024, the Republicans would back him.

watching and listening less and less to liberal broadcasts and commentators. All they do is repeat his transgressions over and over. No solutions or insights. How are ratings on these shows? Falling? Sorry Stephanie Miller, time to change focus.

latest Trump outrage and nothing has changed. There seems to be only 3 or 4 Democrats in Washington that have any thing to say about it. There is an endless supply of Republicans that come to Trump's defense no matter what he does.

.....he could not say "Good morning" without a large group of Republicans holding a press conference or putting out statements speaking out against it or bloviating about what they would do differently.

And to your point there seem to be only 3 or 4 people who bother to say anything, and even then it's mostly tweets which are the most inane, ridiculous form of communication. The only reason people see Trump's tweets is because they get reported on. Democrats don't get that luxury.

...less time on cable news.....less time holding out hope for that one mythical thing that Trump is going to do or say that will take him down (spoiler alert: it's not happening)...less time holding out hope that the US media is suddenly going to grow a spine and stop simply being stenographers. Less time thinking that some liberal columnist or talking head on tv is reaching anyone other than the already converted.

More time on working for candidates....more time educating ourselves on who is running and what we can and should be doing ourselves.....more time campaigning...more time stuffing envelopes and making calls.....more time demanding that the actual elected Democrats that we already have start speaking out more....start doing something other than reacting to Trump's tweets with their own tweets in the hope that their tweets go viral.

Right now at least here it seems that we are 75% focused on the news/Trump/Tweets/etc and maybe 25% focused on that other, positive action stuff. That should be reversed.

I want to see articles posted showcasing our great candidates. I want to see articles about Democrats talking about their specific plans and laws that they will attempt to get through when we are back in power.

I don't want to see whiny posts about what Chuck Todd said or didn't say. I want to see less posts about some scathing Ted Lieu tweet that nobody other than us is going to see or ever know about. I want to see less speculation on what Mueller is or isn't going to do that will be our magical silver bullet that is suddenly going to take down Trump.

Until all that happens we have no excuse for being numb or dejected because those current ratios of inaction to action mean we're not doing enough.

the GOP for not doing their job putting party over country then it's just news of the day. Maybe we should put aside all other protests and put all effort toward protesting the GOP congress.
