will do what they have to to save themselves and save what power they can for themselves. If the MSM weren't afraid, and perhaps they'll become less so, they'd tell us more about what the big donors are insisting on.

Interestingly, the banking bill's Dodd-Frank roll-back wasn't extreme, so they apparently scaled back their demands faced with the prospect of losing big in November. Reportedly, they're focusing big time on holding the senate so they can control judiciary and continue to install conservative justices.

Once it's in Congress a FOI request could get it into the public....or an American patriot could release it.

It will be a complete shitshow.

Our 1/3 will feel vindicated.
Their 1/3 will go ape shit over whatever spin their brainwashers spin.
The "middle 1/3" will be the soft headed twits they are.

I work our polls, and know who votes in our neighborhood.

There are LOT more people who didn't vote for him that are sympathetic to him than we want to think.

IF Mueller shows what we think he will, which is likely, it will NOT magically turn this around. Even then, it still is long odds that 45 see justice, and that this rabid decent into fascism is turned around.

You have an excellent understanding of situational awareness. Too many posters here watch Rachel Maddow to gain a better understanding of Trump's atrocities, but like Maddow they are clueless toward how to apply forward in this environment.

Take the extreme outcome and drop down at least five stairs. That will place closer to reality.

One night she said I know we think our shows are really important but the reality is on a good night less than one percent of the population is watching us.

There are probably more people watching Happy Days reruns than all the cable news show combined. And they vote. These are the people who if you asked them what they think of Trump, they will tell you all about how he is a really smart, successful businessman and that is why he is the richest man in the world.

Rachel Maddow, as much as I love her show and admire her intelligence, draws about one tenth as many viewers as The Roseanne show was.

Then there's people like my daughter. She has a Master's degree in Clinical Nursing and is a hospital administrator. She is, of course extremely intelligent. Her job/career allows her little time for politics and it always disappoints me that she is almost completely unaware of most of the things we discuss here. She doesn't have time to watch Rachel Maddow or Roseanne.

That's the world we live in, like it or not.

One third of the country sat it out, another good chunk of the quote middle voted third-party, for the green and libertarian Schmucks. Basically, doing everything they could to keep from picking The Confident saying decent candidate.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but people need to understand it is in a 50/50 split situation.

That middle third breaks the other way more often than not, which is why we not only have the idiot in the White House, but majorities in both chambers of Congress, far more governorships, former state house is in the hands of radical, totally distance from reality, mean-spirited misogynistic homophobic race-baiting jerk-offs.
Time After Time After Time, year after year after year, the quote middle indulges Republican f*** wittery.

That is expecting far too much from a criminal prosecutor.

Trump's corruption and dishonesty was apparent before the election. Far from being put off by it, his supporters welcome it.

And that kind of political movement is the real problem. Trump just figured out how to ride it to power. It still will be there when he is gone.

Don't get me wrong. I welcome whatever Mueller can do. It's just that America's political problems are far bigger than any set of crimes he prosecutes.

Republicans are now a death-cult existing in an alternate reality. They will give up NOTHING. It’s already obvious that the idiots who support King Asshole are fully committed to him— they DON’T CARE how ugly, how crass, how lawless he is. In fact, they love him for it.

The right wing is enjoying this destruction of liberal democracy, as is happening with Brexit, in Poland, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, etc. There currently a number of active, worldwide right-wing/statist/populists movements, enough to make it a global trend. Putin is a kingpin, and I’m pretty sure he offered Dump a scenario where they would be co-badass strongmen who literally kill their political opponents. Putin conned the con.

But 45’s people don’t give a damn about Russia, collusion, using the office for private financial gain, etc. They worship their foul-mouthed, vulgar figurehead who says all the crazy, racist and hateful things that THEY want to say.

I wish I could be more optimistic, and believe that the law of the land will prevail. But with all the blatent corruption and lawbreaking that’s already happened (without so much as a peep of objection or resistance from Republicans), I just can’t see justice happening in the crystal ball right now. And impeachment is a pipe dream— because too many Republicans are required to make that happen.

The one sure way to slay this dragon is to VOTE DEMOCRATIC IN 2018 and 2020.
