Shepard Smith Hits Back at Trump: 'Every Eagle Stood at Every Game, Every Time'

Immediately after President Trump‘s big “celebration of America” today, Fox News’ Shepard Smith immediately corrected the record on the Philadelphia Eagles.

Part of the reason the Eagles were disinvited, Trump said yesterday, was that they “disagree with their President” on the issue of standing for the national anthem.”

But as Smith made clear this afternoon, they actually did:

“It is the reporting of Fox News that every Eagle stood at every game every time, none knelt.”

He reviewed the President’s claim before reiterating, “The truth is, as I mentioned, the entire team stood for the anthem every game last season.”

Smith also noted how players have been protesting police brutality and racial injustice and how the President has called players “SOBs” and said they should be penalized.

Seriously, this just validates the whole argument that not standing is somehow "un-American." Such absurdity should not be dignified with a response, but if one feels compelled to respond, he shouldn't defend against the stupidity.

10. Meanwhile, the RW propagandists (aka talk radio hosts) are flat out lying and claiming that they DID

kneel. I listened to one particularly annoying one (Mark Lavin) the other day who affected this emotionally distraught tone like he was about to cry describing how hurt he was by this (supposed) display of hatred of America. Followed by a litany of callers, some who were vets, who were equally distraught, hurt, angry, upset..... all worked up into a lather by something that never really happened.

Just too surreal - anyone who doubts that this is a cult in every definition of the word need only listen to RW talk radio for a few minutes.
