from: https://manafortdefense.org/a-lifetime-of-service/
Paul has spent his life advancing American ideals and principles. He has had the unique and extraordinary opportunity to become a trusted advisor to no less than four United States Presidents. Paul began his career in the Ford Administration, where he served as Associate Director in the Office of Presidential Personnel and acted as liaison between the White House, international and national security, and energy-related departments for all Presidential appointments. President Ronald Reagan appointed Paul as a Director of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC).
Thereafter, Paul also served in the Reagan Administration as a member of the Investment Policy Advisory Committee (INPAC) at the Office of the US Trade Representative.
Recognized as a man with strong principles and leadership skills, Paul was requested and became a consultant, strategist and coordinator for the campaigns of Presidents Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, and George H.W. Bush as well as for the highly venerated Senator Bob Dole in his 1996 campaign effort.
In 2016 Paul served as campaign chairman for Donald J. Trumps successful bid for presidency. Motivated solely by his appreciation and ardor for our country, Paul assumed his role as advisor and then campaign chair without any compensation. Paul believed the country needed new leadership and direction and had a compelling desire to be instrumental in that process. Hearing the voice of so many Americans who felt unrepresented by our government, Paul helped to define Donald Trumps core beliefs and, along with other remarkably talented individuals, they achieved what is believed to be one of the greatest victories in the annals of any presidential campaign.
An American Advocate
Throughout his years outside of government service, Paul has continued to work with world leaders. In an effort to instill democratic values in other countries, this frequently meant that he would interact with politicians and businessmen who did not share in our beliefs of equal justice, human rights and free markets. However, as an experienced strategist, Paul would find ways to build bridges and create economic opportunities between these countries and the United States. In doing so, his efforts highlighted the opportunities and benefits of the American systems and created commonality which, in turn, acted as a springboard for far more substantial relationships between our countries.
Paul has been involved in a number of international organizations and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Center for Study of Democratic Institutions, the Center for Democracy, the International Exchange Council, and as a Senior Fellow of the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

(51,611 posts)whether or not he was going to have to go to jail for witness tampering, but now I just heard Rachel say it is scheduled for June 15th. Who knows what BS cheap he will pull before then. His daughters and the whole family knew he was in cahoots with the moron. They were even recorded saying that, "Daddy is going up and down to tRump's penthouse all day long plotting and scheming and they are having a great time". One of his daughters also asked the other daughter, "I wonder why Daddy is so cheap all of a sudden?" after his finances in Ukraine couldn't move out of the country and before he joined the campaign "for free". His family is as swampy as the moron's.
