Does the staged event today seem like it was Trump's own 4th of July?

I know there was lots of planning and at the last minute he cancelled the Eagles coming because his feelings were hurt. Still having something like that 29 days before the actual 4th just seems odd.

Given what is painfully obvious about Trump it wouldn't surprise me that he has a need to have the BIGGEST, THE BEST celebration of America EVER. I also wouldn't be surprised if it was planned to put any Eagles players who would've showed up in a tight spot to "try anything" and use them (like the West Point choir) as props to celebrate himself.

Just some thoughts.

Oh and apparently much of the crowd were WH and Congressional staffers.

It was such an obvious bullshit gesture.

I think Trump fans might be put off seeing that he didnt even know the words to God Bless America.
