We'll need another ballot initiative to undo the ballot initiative that led to our top-2 system. Garrett78 Jun 2018 #8

I GUARANTEE there is going to be a recount, these 2 HATE each other, it was an insane campaign, full of pure nastiness

I so hope all of our side rallies behind the winner (Rouda I hope).

Some simply care more about the potential to win (even when they have almost no chance) than they care about doing what is best (i.e., whatever it takes to defeat Republicans).

We shut them out of the Senate and 10 Congressional seats.

Not having a competitive Senate candidate will reduce enthusiasm down ticket for Republicans.

One if the reasons Dems have a super majority in the legislature is because of the jungle primary.

Think about it, if you were a young Republican professional would you want to run for office if you can't even get on the GE ballot the first 2-3 times?

Every year fewer Republicans even bother to run, and those that do are almost all independently wealthy.

Won't work every where but it works great in CA.

Tonight Dems won 1 Senate and 10 Congressional GE election and lost none.

So the Dems were not shut out and I think Rouda has a better chance...there are allegations against Keirstead of sleeping with grad students and fighting...don't know if this is made up GOP bullshit or not.
