a person on PBS just told the reporters. They expect more of them to be Dem than GOP. San Diego is sort of GOP due to military bases around here....depends on where you live.

(63 posts)San Diego and Orange County have been Red holdouts in a blue state. San Diego has been solid Red forever. Reds have taken themselves for granted there the way we take ourselves for granted in LA and SF. Construction of The Wall began there last week.
It's a big deal if San Diego flips because it shows that results from liberal policies that effect people's daily lives are more powerful than Red fake news. National Democrats should take notice.

(2,574 posts)I've been adding it up with pure glee tonight. Maybe Harkey(R) won the 1st@26% place for Ca49, but the total votes of of all three Dems placing 2,3,4,5 way beyond the Repug total This really looks good for Nov. Also Fletcher & Saldana(D) totals for Supervisor D4 far exceed Dumanis & Repugs. Repugs have held both offices like forever! Yay.I'm sure you're smiling too...

(51,611 posts)adding up the Dem votes if they weren't all spread out and I think overall the Dems did pretty well! That gives me hope for the midterms. My family and friends mostly voted by mail so I Didn't know how long it would take to get a clear picture of the results.
