I don't get it either. How can he love a Kennedy and worship Bobby as his hero and then become a Republican?

Scar did dump the Republican party (finally) and says he's now an Independant.

Morning Joe started with mournful memorials to D-Day and then RFK, and a declining America since (filtered through a sad, post-Tuesday morning Joe).

And then, still ongoing, it's a very lengthy discussion of the Eagles' non-visit to the WH, and more woeful, post-Tuesday declining America.

For a supposed RFK admirer, Joe is one sad conservative this morning, too distressed to even talk about what happened yesterday.

they're still far better than the Fox competition entrenched on CNN. When I left to check Joe, Camerata and whatshisname were still spinning continual noise about Democratic Party worries even as they were forced to report Democratic victory after victory.

M$M for 16 years but I know that already.. they can't stand for Dems to be Winning.. especially after doing everything in their manufactured, both sides do it, power to dampen it.

This first morning show getting people before they head off to work is now toxic, filled with Fox-type spin and outright lies, toned down but presented constantly.

Monday Camerata was trying to imply separating children from parents was reasonable and humane and tried to undermine Senator Merkley's account of visiting that camp where the children were held. "I understand why they wouldn't let a strange man in,..." "Well, look, I understand that you think this is overly punitive and cruel ..., HOW-EH-VER, in terms of having to take care of undocumented and unaccompanied minors showing up,..." She goofed when she thought he hadn't actually seen children in cages because he wasn't let in and pounced on that, though, because he'd visited another camp the day before.

Despicable. I don't believe for a second Jeff Zucker's claim that NBC's and CNN's promotion of Trump was about profits.

Making you gladder than ever you don't spend money on this stuff, i'm guessing. I don't normally turn either on (I do record Joe in case some segment mentioned here makes me curious), but I wanted to see what they were saying about these elections.

with the NFL issue and not appear to be the fake that he is. Today, he admires Bobby Kennedy and next week he will throw shade at the Kennedy legacy. Well, at least today he is not fixating on Bill Clinton like he always does.

Funny how he never mentions Bush and the weapons of mass destruction and Iraq. But of course that was only the death of thousands... no titillating sexual tidbits for his audience.

TV clips, people recounting how he inspired them, etc. Even documentaries have what goes into them filtered through the filmmaker.

Those, deliberately or not, tend to enhance the image, the inspiration of the public, the external stuff, with actual policies and ideology trailing behind.

Segue to 1980: Joe is 17, and Mr. Image is running for president.

Who had more real influence?

If I had less faith in Joe's ability to fully believe contradictory things, I'd think he was just saying that because he has a New York social circle these days.
