WASHINGTON For nearly a year, President Trump has been relentlessly attacking his handpicked attorney general for recusing himself from the Russia investigation that has so nettled him. And so in that sense, his tweet on Tuesday morning was simply the latest in a long string.
The Russian Witch Hunt Hoax continues, all because Jeff Sessions didnt tell me he was going to recuse himself, Mr. Trump wrote. I would have quickly picked someone else. So much time and money wasted, so many lives ruined and Sessions knew better than most that there was No Collusion!
But what made this tweet so striking was that it encapsulated the essential contradictions of Mr. Trumps arguments. In fewer than 280 characters, he acknowledged perhaps as explicitly as he ever has that the reason he is mad at Mr. Sessions is that the attorney general did not shut down the investigation into Mr. Trumps campaign. To critics, that is all but an admission of obstruction of justice, or at least the desire to obstruct justice.

(13,903 posts)IMHO he is trying to berate Sessions into reversing his recusal. He can not order it, he cannot fire Sessions, he cannot just order the investigation to end. That would be stepping over the line.
Has anyone of his attorneys explained the concept of corrupt intent to the fool?

(4,483 posts)because he has had it explained to him that Sessions couldn't possibly have known in advance that he would have to recuse himself, and did so only after and in response to Trump's firing Comey. Which makes it Trump's fault that Sessions had to recuse himself, and Trump's fragile psyche cannot accommodate the idea that he was wrong in any way. So Trump sticks with his wilfull "ignorance" about why Sessions recused so he won't have to face his own responsibility for it. And Sessions is the only target left, so look out, Beauregard!

and, if Sessions was so bad, Trump could be a man and march into his office and fire him.

(111,104 posts)He wanted Sessions to shut down Russian investigation.
And he had no worries about obstruction of justice.

(3,011 posts)the innocent explanation.
The guilty one looks like this: if you had told me ahead of time, you would not be loyal to me first, I would not have appointed you to this position. Now, you are in the position, and you listen to counsel that the right thing to do is to recuse yourself and you do it. Now, I don't have my Eric Holder, the one who fixes things for me.
What does the innocent explanation sound like? Can anyone think like him for me?

(11,885 posts)Where he is the judge, jury , and executioner, and Sessions knows he'll be used by him to promote more corruption if he does bow down to him now. Sessions may also already have turned on him, and talking . Maybe another reason he hasn't fired him yet.

(6,254 posts)How many times does Dotard have to say it. He will do anything and fire whom ever to shut down Russia investigation. Indict or unseal the indictment and lets get on with the obstruction part of the investigation. Forget the interview, it will never happen and if it does Dotard will take the 5th. The first rule the criminal defense lawyer tells his client is dont talk to anyone. Look what happened when Clinton talked and Dotard is no Bill Clinton. Lets get this show on the road then start indicting ok campaign finance violations for paying off women right before the election. Then whatever god awful crimes discovered in Cohens papers. Don Coreleone Trump has lots to answer for.
