Huge Fire in London

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-44389565
<snip>
A huge fire has broken out at a luxury hotel in central London a week after "the most extensive restoration in its 115-year history" was completed.

Plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the five-star Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge after firefighters were called just before 16:00 BST.

About 120 firefighters and 20 engines have been sent to the scene in William Street, London Fire Brigade said.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, a spokesperson confirmed.

but to me it looks so gaudy, overbuilt, and way too busy. There is no focal point. I'll take something a bit more understated.

..'luxury' means having your own bathroom. I could stand in the middle of the room and touch both walls. BUT it was right next to all the cool stuff..Harrods, the British Museum. So the luxury is location location location.

It says there were builders up there, so somebody probably knows what happened.
