What happens if the summit between Trump and Kim Jong Un is a failure?
Obviously, Trump will not accept any responsibility. That much we know.
However, there is a danger that he may spin it as a reason to attack North Korea? He tried to reason with them but they refused to cooperate, he might say?
He is not a stable genius.

(29,205 posts)The North Koreans will play Trump like a fiddle and make empty promises that Trump will accept on face value... he will declare that sanctions should now be lifted on his "good friend" Kim and promise Kim will be "dear leader" for life.

UPS is about to go on strike. I wonder how much shit the Teamsters will take HERE when that happens.

(7,768 posts)Seems to me that pre-summit insults and painting Kim as groveling and weak aren't that helpful for getting talks off to a productive, friendly start. But hey, that's just me.

With Rudderless Rudys latest comment I'm pretty sure they are trying to make sure it doesn't happen.

(11,885 posts)Neither one will do what they agree to, and will both claim they won, and are saving the world. I wouldn't believe trump for anything he ever claims because all he does is lie. He'll claim how great he is, then make stuff up like he always has done. Just another attention deflector away from him and putin and all his corruption being exposed, nothing more.
