Who pays for news?

I'm curious. Who pays for news in any direct way (cable bill doesn't count).
This can be a daily paper, a weekly, a news magazine, a pay wall, or any other regular payment that goes directly to the news collecting organization. (So, no, your Public Radio membership doesn't count).
