to me
Friends,
Today, I announced that I am running to be the next Attorney General of New York.
It has been the honor of my life to serve the people of the Hudson Valley in Congress. Ive been in the thick of the fight in Washington for almost 6 years now. Weve helped thousands of our constituents, passed 30 bipartisan bills into law and played some good defense as the Tea Party and Trump Administration tried to undermine our Constitution and dismantle so much of the progress weve made as a country. But I feel the need to do even more.
Now, I want to get on offense.
The New York Attorney General is on the frontlines of every critical battle we have in our country today the ones we cant lose from holding Trump accountable to public corruption, climate change, reproductive freedom, gun violence, LGBTQ equality, healthcare and so much more.
To win these battles, the next attorney general needs the passion to fight and the experience to win. I am the most qualified and experienced candidate running, and the only one with 25 years of public and private sector experience in Washington, Albany, and New York City.
This is going to be a fast and intense race just 14 weeks! so, I'm asking that you continue to support me, and do so right away. We simply have no time to spare if we want to win the primary on September 13th.

(94,598 posts)AG Primary isn't until September. If he wins, that doesn't give the designated replacement for NY-19 a lot of time to build up a campaign.

(1,028 posts)This is a pretty selfish move considering he represents a swing district and the most important thing is to take back the House. Taking back the House is much more important than him primarying three qualified female candidates.
