Americans aren't starving en masse, not with the availability of cheap fast food. And with FOX News and reality TV, distracting the poor from their wretched lives has never been easier.

There are no guillotines in the future of America's wealthy...

'the rich get richer and the poor get poorer'

...no doubt coined by a 'common' person, a long time ago

because they're never happy or satisfied with what they DO have, always striving for more or better. I worked for 2 multimillionaire business owners for almost twenty years and saw over and over again how unsatisfied their money made them, as well as in the lives of their wealthy friends. Sure, they like that Bentley or that yacht for the moment, but as soon as an acquaintance betters them, they're no longer happy until they top them again. Enough is never enough.

The "common man" is more likely to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
