How'bout that MANCHIN boy. We Dems catch it from all sides.

DEMOCRATIC SENATOR SAYS HE COULD SUPPORT TRUMP IN 2020 ELECTION

.... “I’m open to supporting the person who I think is best for my country and my state,” Manchin told Politico. “If his policies are best, I’ll be right there.”

Trump is an intensely popular figure in West Virginia. He beat Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election by more than 40 percentage points in the state, and a Gallup poll in January found West Virginians approved of Trump more than any other state in the nation.

“I’m with him sometimes more than other Republican senators are with him,” Manchin said. As a Democrat in a deep-red state up for re-election in November, Manchin has aligned himself with Trump in hopes to catch some of his popularity and win over Republican districts. “If it’s good for the state and it’s good for the nation, I’m going to support that person,” Manchin told Politico. “A lot of the policies he’s done (have) been good for the state.”

Manchin has taken his support for Trump so far he said he regrets supporting Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. “It was a mistake. It was a mistake politically,” he said. Manchin cited Clinton’s pledge of $20 billion to the state as the reason he supported her. ...."

If he answers that he was proud to support her it would hurt him. He regrets it today. Understandable in Manchin world.

He would be working Clinton for money if she was President. He is working Trump for money since he is President. He is calling it a mistake now because that 20 billion is off the table. It would have been the right move if Clinton won.

Some Democrats are having luck when it comes to bringing home the bacon. Look at Leahy, the Democrat from Vermont who isn't perpetually campaigning. He recently scored for his constituents. It wasn't a payoff for supporting the Republican agenda. It was from working hard for his constituency.

People need to get over their Manchin shit. He is a known commodity. Primary his ass and win if you are so inclined.

He won't be endorsing Trump. He won't be trashing Trump.

Successfully removing him in a primary is the other option.

I don't care for him either, but some seem to think having the D after your name is the most important thing.

Let that sink in.

Manchin needs to do what he needs to do to hold
on. Once he has a new term and doesn’t face voters until 2024, there is no chance he’d flip to deny us a majority after November.

He is with us on the important things..... he has to get re-elected, so we can have a chance to take control of the senate... which means control of the nomination process.

We need "Majority Leader Schumer" to put a halt to all the Trump judges being appointed.

I can live with Manchin, as long as he has a D next to his name and makes that Majority possible.
