because the poll also has trump at 44% approval. The repubs have the rich and white haters who are afraid of change. It is very good to see that folks want a check on trump though.

good thing to see, in that many others in the 'real world' outside DU also feel that serious checks on rump are needed and that obviously the existing congress won't do it.

Immigration crackdowns is simply not working and is providing fodder for rump and his toadies to keep harping and moaning about an issue that will always be there (and they can rely on the votes thus).

Tax reform ... already is a joke, since 83% of the benefits of the 2018 tax law goes to the 1%ers and because of all of the tariffs, the hits on farmers' produce and other US exports overseas, hits to income are coming to farmers, distillers, and others, as well as the US consumer, since costs all across the board are going up, and the dollar has gone down in value about 10% since rump took rein.

Supporting rump over 90% ... this is idiotic, and clearly shows that those candidates supporting rump a little much aren't using their intelligence like voters want them to, after all, they are there as a check against the idiotic doings of this president. Some healthy opposition is always welcomed, as long as it's rational, and clearly thought out, and not just because it's a position taken by either side, e.g., because dems favor legislation A, all repugs oppose it, etc.

Nancy Pelosi - don't care either way, there are plenty of good dems that will fill her shoes if need be.

Further down the road: Rump's actions are clearly showing that a president has too much power in claiming that national security concerns are overriding all other objections (not true) and thus is bypassing the repug.-controlled congress (get this, the repug. president is bypassing his repug. congress!, something is wrong here).

to vote.

And why would they add that Pelosi question to a survey? I could see it on a brainfart survey but....nevermind, sounds like it's probably the WSJ's "contribution" to the survey.

Now why would those people who voted one way on all the other questions, vote the opposite on the Pelosi question?
