¿OIG report on Comey - Does that support Trump's explanation for firing Comey?

Forgive me for being lazy but I wanted to tap into DU's knowledge. Also these are preliminary reports of what's in the report so...there's that.

Yes I know Trump told Lester Holt that Comey was fired because of "the Russian thing" but he also offered the excuse/reason that was because of the way Comey treated Hillary - if memory serves. No one bought that and still don't because of the way Trump still attacks her.

Treatment and "insubordination" (as reported) are obviously two different things.

Am I missing something? Please help.

2. The IG report's criticisms of Comey mirror

those made in Rod Rosenstein's memo which Trump initially claimed to be the rationale for firing Comey. Rosenstein clearly denounced Comey for his unprofessional behavior regarding the inappropriate discussion of an FBI investigation.

TLDR: The IG finds that Comey screwed Hillary big time.
