Bc now, when the Democrats do it, the young vote will see how politics effects them, and what party cares about all our welfare. WE make it what we want. Certainly not what some imbecile says we want. Things gain importance and clarity when things effect people directly. It'd be a huge win for Democrats.
It's way past time for MJ. At this point it's legislative laziness not to have done it on the Fed level w follow up laws in states. Too much work for lazy congressmen. Easier just to take $ for nuanced votes.
This is a perfect issue to lead a new modern society, by stopping the war on Inalienable Rights and American People in general. We aren't the enemy. (By and large.)

Law enforcement doesn't want to kill the cash cow, and for profit prisons don't want to loose their river of "customers."

And that's the real reason the repubs like sessions are so "afraid" of MJ. They're afraid of the DEA and law enforcement.

Let the states decide.

Most will legalize to gain the tax revenue.

The most resistance will be from big alcohol and big pharmaceutical.

and start (they probably have already) lobbying to monopolize the industry. Which is still better than having it remain illegal, but just the same they will work to kill the small growers and distributors.

Washington state and my city of Seattle are doing just fine.

One thing I’ve noticed though as a non-user, is people need to listen to the good folks at dispensaries about potencies and effects. Had a friend who can and does use CBGs for migraines but has panic reactions with THC. People need to know what they are buying—yet another reason for decriminalizing and legalizing.
