... Administrator Scott Pruitt's 24-hour security detail were tasked with running mundane errands for him that included driving Pruitt to locate his favorite lotion at Ritz Carlton Hotels and taking his clothing to the dry cleaner, the Post reported Thursday.
In the lotion search, two sources told the Post, Pruitt directed his agents to drive him to multiple Ritz-Carlton hotel locations in search of his preferred scented substance.
Pruitt has been criticized by lawmakers for multiple reports of using his staffers' time for personal errands, including sending his scheduler Milan Hupp to look at condos for him and search for a used mattress at the Trump International Hotel.
In testimony given to House committee staff and released to the public this week, Hupp confirmed that she spent hours of her personal and work time helping Pruitt search for a condo--a quest that she said lasted months. Hupp resigned from her post at the EPA on Wednesday ...

... "Contrary to its name, the proposed rule would implement an opaque process allowing EPA to selectively suppress scientific evidence without accountability and in the process undermine bedrock environmental laws," the lawmakers wrote.
The letter notes many of the same concerns voiced by scientists since reports of the rulemaking first surfaced namely that the rule would specifically limit public health studies, whose findings must remain confidential.
"It appears to be targeted at excluding important public health studies while privileging industry-sponsored research," the lawmakers say of the rule. "It also fails to adequately consider the costs of implementation and the potential privacy implications."

A U.S. district judge has ordered the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to release any documents used by Administrator Scott Pruitt to make his public statement that human behavior is not a primary contributor to climate change.
The chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, Beryl Howell, said in a ruling issued last Friday but first widely reported this week that the EPA had to comply with a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed last year by Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER).
PEER requested any documents Pruitt used to inform a statement he made on climate change last year.
I would not agree that its a primary contributor to the global warming that we see, Pruitt said during an appearance on CNBCs Squawk Box last March ...
