I contend that the high numbers for Trump with Republicans is a result of

the fact that the Republican Party is shrinking. The recent news that there are now more independents in CA than Republicans bolsters that. I wonder why the pollsters don’t include that in polls. I’m not a conspiracy nut but I would love to see some numbers in other states that measure voters jumping ship on the Republican Party

I think it's advertising pure and simple...Republicans have a history of inflating their numbers shamelessly.. made-up self promotion.

Such as why they have to steal things instead of earning them. And why they tolerate so many bat-shit crazie's in their tent.

Also I think off fox viewers more likely to leave fox on for 'company' - noise in the house

true independents out there. Ross Perot got 20% of the PV in 1992.

My wife always registers as unaffiliated but always votes straight dem. Then she gets pissed because she can’t vote in the primaries because she is unaffiliated. I gave up trying to get her to register as a dem.

I still see a lot of people who people might assume weren't supportive still in favor of him, a lot of he's a poor victim stuff. We passed off some of the numbers going into the election, they held up. I think his supports right where it's pulling at least.

He's wearing people out, and they're just giving up and giving in. Not us, but the mushy "middle."

Adjustments within such substantial blocks are seldom valid.

In such as polarized era I have no idea why we can't accept that the polarized opposition is going to be thrilled with their first term president who upset a person they despised for 25 years in Hillary Clinton.

Again, forget about day to day details and focus on the big picture.

Paying attention day to day leads to wild subjective flails.
