... to not only investigate and prosecute individuals but also to stop crimes that are currently being committed?
If a cop rolls up to a bank robbery or violent physical assault he's not just there to investigate but to stop the current commission of a crime, right?
We seriously need something to be done to stop this assault on the Rule of Law or there might not be the mechanisms in place once Mueller is finished, especially if someone like fox news' Jeanine Pirro gets a job in the management of DOJ.
Even an arson investigator would grab an extinguisher if he thought a fire would spread to another building instead of waiting for it to be over so that he could see who might've started it.
America is under attack!

Yes, something needs to be done, but it isn't like you can just walk into the WH and put handcuffs on the PGIC. As much as we want to do so, that isn't happening.

(11,297 posts)Sure Mueller has enough nails. He knows how to do it. If we're offended by this lawless group, imagine how he feels.

(35,442 posts)That's the responsibility of the rest of the Justice Dept and Congress. We're putting too much faith in Mueller.

In Mueller's investigation, he has a whole tree of fruit on the way to the top of the rotten tree. He is thoroughly building evidence as part of a criminal investigation. He must make sure not to bring charges that will not hold up to a challenge. When Mueller thinks the time has come, he will handle it similar to Manafort. On June 15th, hopefully the court revokes his bail. That would give Mueller's team an opportunity, to make a deal, perhaps?
Any how, filled with some speculation on my part. We will see soon enough, on Mueller's time schedule. This is what is driving IT and gouliani bonkers, imo.
