We Democrats need to turn up the heat about ICE separating kids from their parents
This is a fucking outrage. We Americans are better than this. There is a better way to deal with this.

But our pros on the front lines of course aren't really even a tiniest fraction as ignorant and inactive as we are. Senator Merkley's visit to those detention camps where children are sleeping on metal foil space blankets on concrete was not just his own idea, you know. He drew cameras and discussion there and everyone else got out of the way while the media attention focuses where we need it to be -- on the abused children and on the Republicans committing this atrocity.
Hear they're fast running out of places to lock up all the children they're taking away from the care of their parents. Heard it from the media. Our fourth estate's freedom to report is so important that it's specifically protected in our constitution. Also a big reason why Trump wants to close down and arrest them. And why we're continually pointing them at the Republicans and getting out of the line of fire.
