(7,888 posts)anyone? Regardless, I support holding off on calling the winners until every vote is counted or it is statistically impossible for a challenger to catch up with the leader.

(7,888 posts)It is annoying, I always wait until the day after an election to check out the results. I don't think it is in the public's best interests for pundits and networks to call an election. They don't even give anyone time to review the results or prepare a concession speech.

(51,609 posts)They are all Dems too. I take my ballot to the polls since I love to be part of the whole process...civic pride. The night of the election the local news people went to the polls and they said that it would take a couple of days to count them all. In San Diego 1/3 of the votes were from new voters and most were Dems. That is good news.

These are the results from San Diego with 100% of polls reporting, but as the OP state's, tons more are being counted.
