(63,221 posts)I do all day. I have a lot of vacation time so I just decided I needed a day off. I think all this Trump stress is really taking a toll on me physically and mentally. I just feel so exhausted!

(63,221 posts)It's supposed to be a nice day here in Boston tomorrow. This Trump stress is just wearing me out, so I needed to take a day off to sleep in and relax. Will just do some errands and get a few things done. I have been tossing and turning all week and just couldn't deal with another early morning!

(205,503 posts)I can only take so much news myself, these days. It's getting so I change the channel to old TV shows, anything without Trump in it, when I'm sitting here with the TV. Hearing what we've been hearing day after day, week after week - with no end in sight - really takes it out of you. I did that on Wednesday, drove halfway to Lake George for no reason since I needed to take my mind off things. I drove past the amusement park that used to be Storytown, USA where I had a summer job, remembering less stressful summers.
p.s. I think we all need this right now:

(63,221 posts)It was our special time together! Thanks for reminding me of that and taking my mind of this horror show of a government!

(205,503 posts)My brother, my cousin and me. We hit all the amusement parks in the entire region, I loved the rides! And then I got a summer job there, worked for six summers. I was in "rides," but started out as Cinderella, ran the swan boats and finally ended up on the Storytown Train, the purple one that ran through "the jungle," LOL! I did that for four summers, my favorite job, ever!

(63,221 posts)We were probably there at the same time as I remember you were a little older than me and were probably working there when I was visiting. It was a magical place!
Rhiannon12866
(205,503 posts)And I keep thinking there must be one out there! I couldn't run across to the rest room or go to lunch without getting stopped every five feet for photos! And I was a good Cinderella, I had lots of kids come back, LOL. In fact, I remember one little brother and sister who came back so many times that I remembered them when they came back the next summer and were startled to find me seating them on my train! Awkward...
