(14,249 posts)Hell, *I* knew this was bullshit the minute it came out of his mouth because, even though I was a kid when it happened, I knew that Ali's conviction had been overturned. Why didn't THEY know it?
You're right - they gave Trump the headline he wanted - the followup fact checking is pretty useless.

(5,914 posts)Ali himself would have told him to shove his pardon up his fat, pasty ass.
Muhammad Ali never sucked up to anyone, let alone someone like Trump.

(50,945 posts)To a Reuters Facebook posting.
Ali would not want a pardon for something he believed in. The only one guilty at the time was the political system.

(3,051 posts)But Ali supported Ronald Reagan and many other Republicans.
This would have been right up his ally.

(14,155 posts)Use the pardon for people of color now, then when he uses it for his criminal cabal and criminal family they can say(Rudy) that he (trDump)has a soft place in his heart to see that people of all walks of life not have the albatross of criminality hung around their neck into eternity, forgiveness is the Christian way.
Normalize the handing out of pardons now then later it will seem the normal and benevolent thing to do to allow his family to escape the calls of justice.

(14,249 posts)If we didn't vote for him in 2016, why would any sane person think we would suddenly decide to vote for him because he fake-pardons Muhammad Ali?
Take that sh*t to somebody who'll fall for it. And that ain't us.

(23,105 posts)How can someone be this totally brain dead and still walking around? Every time he opens his mouth (Or moves his tiny little fingers) all we get are self-serving lies and totally made up crap. He has no truth and no knowledge, only hatred and filth occupy his so-called brain.

(9,155 posts)You're going to have to find a celebrity with an actual criminal conviction if you want to pander for votes.
Sooo, who's it going to be. Cosby or O.J.?

(8,138 posts)if it is connected to the Congress' unwillingness to speak out or do something about it. There must be MORE pressure on Congress to acknowledge his craziness and it's impact on our lives and take some action, even if it's only resolutions or censures.
There needs to be more pressure, from donors, from celebrities, from local politicians, from news sources... and from us.
Just pointing out his insanity is just distracting at this point. He is dangerously stupid and incompetent and this needs to be said by many over and over until something is done.
