Should members of Congress be getting arrested at the border?

Thoughts about Al Sharpton aside, do you think Democratic members of the US House and US Senate should be interfering with what's happening to families at the border to the extent that they get arrested? Would the resulting media attention prove beneficial?

1. They would probably be better off trying to get a hearing in Congress...not that that is easy

2. Not easy, as you say. And if it doesn't get a lot of media attention, the practice won't end.

Trump and Republicans dominate the airwaves. Something must be done to change that.

The media would definitely cover the arrest of Representatives and Senators. The outrage over what's happening would hit home with more people, and what's happening would come to an end. As an added bonus, Democrats would benefit at the polls. I bet forecasts that Democrats will pick up 30-35 seats in Congress would jump to 50+.

I don't like spectacle for the sake of spectacle, but spectacle with a purpose is called for.
